Advanced Digital Services in Personalized Nutrition

The technological center AINIA, is collaborating with the Institute of Information Technology (ITI) through the FOOD4ONE project designing a comprehensive platform aimed at improving population health indicators and enhancing business competitiveness in the field of personalized nutrition

The market for personalized nutrition is poised to experience significant growth in the coming years, driven by advancements in technology. These technological innovations include diagnostic tools such as DNA sequencing, microbiome analysis, and biomarker analysis in bodily fluids like blood, saliva, and urine. Additionally, the development of tracking and habit-forming devices like smart bracelets, watches, and wearable patches further contributes to this growth. However, a notable challenge currently exists in the lack of accessible data and knowledge that can effectively link food characteristics with consumers' specific needs.

The emergence of new digital technologies has made it easier for consumers to access information related to nutrition, particularly concerning allergies, intolerances, and metabolic diseases. This heightened awareness among consumers has created a demand for personalized nutrition solutions.

In Spain, the technological center AINIA, is collaborating with the Institute of Information Technology (ITI) through the FOOD4ONE project, to develop advanced digital services in personalized nutrition. Their joint effort involves designing a prototype of a DataSpace—a comprehensive platform aimed at improving population health indicators and enhancing business competitiveness in the field of personalized nutrition. These endeavors, receives support from IVACE (Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness) and FEDER funds.

The envisioned DataSpace is tailored specifically to enhance the sector of personalized nutrition, providing a robust foundation for the development of future digital applications and services. By consolidating and making data readily available, the platform streamlines the data generation process, effectively reducing both time and costs associated with data collection and analysis.
