SICAB 2023: International Horse Fair Drives Purebred Spanish Horses

The 2023 edition of the International Horse Fair (SICAB) is unveiled. This fair, taking place in Seville from November 28 to December 3, has become a crucial epicenter for propelling Spanish livestock on the international stage

Within the framework of the collaboration agreement between ICEX and RFEAGAS, a prominent mission of buyers and opinion influencers from the livestock sector, hailing from Europe and the United States, is organized. The initiative aims to reinforce the promotional and commercial activity of the Spanish livestock sector internationally, contributing to the overall internationalization of the country's economy.

A total of 8 buyers, accompanied by some opinion influencers, will partake in a comprehensive program covering various activities and competitions of the fair, as well as visits to livestock farms in the region. Buyers, selected by the Economic and Commercial Offices of Spain, will focus on high-quality farms with export capacity and international presence, emphasizing the excellence of Spain's pure breeds and the latest technological innovations in the sector.

The list of buyers and opinion influencers includes prominent names in the sector, such as Agnes Trosse-Heine Hilfen, Horse Generalist in Germany, Radik Gareev from Germany, Shae Bella Lovazzano, Polly Jeanne Limond, Benjamin Tobias Pfabe, Jesse A. Collins, and Yvonne de Lossos from the United States, as well as Egor Popov from Kazakhstan.

In addition to the scheduled competitions, the SICAB 2023 fair will offer notable visits, such as exploring the Military Center for Horse Breeding in Jerez de la Frontera and visiting the PRE Genealogical Book office, along with a tour of the molecular genetics laboratory. Also highlighted is an exclusive conversation with Daniel Martín Dockx, Spanish Olympic rider and coach of the ANCCE Sports Development Program, who will share his experience and technical knowledge about horses.

The presence of international buyers and the quality of planned activities solidify the SICAB 2023 fair as a key event to promote Spanish livestock globally, positioning the country as a reference in the breeding and promotion of pure horse breeds.
