Serving up traditional, old school tapas, this new local is “unapologetically Spanish,” and is determined to provide local diners with authentic food that truly pays homage to Spanish culinary traditions. The owners, Manuel Terrón and Sarah Miller, have spent plenty of time touring Spain and have done their best to transplant Spanish experience their Darlinghurst restaurant. Bar Tapa offers a range of bocadillos (sub sandwiches) as well as Iberico ham, croquettes, migas (fried bread crumbs with egg, blood sausage and pancetta), paella and patatas bravas (fried potato squares topped with a slightly spicy sauce). The menu a mix of classic recipes with creations from the Terron family.
Lola & Miguel love all things Spanish, mostly the incredible flavors unique to Spanish culture. They provide their customers with the best selection of Serrano ham, Ibérico ham and chorizo from wonderful artisan producers. They encourage clients to try Bomba rice, smoked pimentón and Piquillo peppers, but also premium fish preserves from Galicia and other regions of the Cantabrian coast.
