It seems that the Torres brothers can't get enough of the excellent fruits of Spain. Just a short time after announcing their collaboration with Plátano de Canarias, the chef-brothers have also embarked on a new collaboration, this time with the excellent cherries and picotas of Protected Designation of Origin Cerezas de Jerte.
To this end, the chefs have created two singular desserts for their newly-opened restaurant using these spectacular and coveted Spanish fruits: Nube helada de chocolate y cerezas del Jerte (Frozen cloud of chocolate and Jerte cherries) and Guinda de Picota del Jerte (preserved picota cherry from Jerte). Both desserts will be on featured the menu at Cocina Hermanos Torres until the end of this year’s cherry season.
In celebration of these creations, the Regulatory Board of PDO Cereza del Jerte has also produced two cooking videos that are available on the Designation’s social networks. In one, Sergio Torres demonstrates how to make the flavorful dessert of Picotas del Jerte a la pimienta, crema de almendras y sabajón (Jerte picotas with pepper, almond cream and sabayon). And in the other, Javier Torres prepares a dish of Quail with Jerte Cherries and spices. Cherry-licious indeed!
