Félix Solís Avantis Wines Win Over Japanese Consumers

The Spanish winery’s products are the most popular, especially after they took home four medals at the Sakura Awards in 2017

Japanese consumers also have a preference for high-end wines, thanks to promotional efforts there by the Spain’s Economic and Commercial Office

Spanish winery Félix Solís Avantis remains a frontrunner in exports to Japan and it was confirmed by the winery’s success at the most recent edition of the Sakura Awards 2017, when it took home four medals.

The awards are held as part of the Foodex trade fair, in which more than 4,000 wines from 37 countries competed. The Spanish winery took home a gold medal for its El Círculo Crianza 2013, and silver medals for its Gran Bajoz 2013, Sentero Expresión 2013, and its Centola 2015 wines. 

According to the magazine, Félix Solís Avantis ranks number one for the third year in a row, followed some distance by Freixenet. It’s also worth noting that high-end wines are especially popular among Japanese consumers, which is attributable to efforts by the Spanish Embassy’s Economic and Commercial Office in Japan to promote top-flight wines.  Félix Solís Avantis has wineries in the following DOs: Toro, La Mancha, Rueda, Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Valdepeñas, and currently exports
