TASTING OF SPANISH WHITE WINES

The Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Oslo is organizing an exclusive white and sparkling wine tasting for members of the wine world in Oslo. The theme of the tasting is Spanish white and sparkling wines.

During the event, which will take place on 5^th June, the president of the Association of Norwegian Sommeliers, Liora Levi, will present the ten Spanish wines.

This event will take place at the BON LÍO restaurant, one of the select Norwegian restaurants that holds the ‘Restaurants from Spain’ Certification.

The ten wines that will be presented at the tasting are the following:

White wine is the ideal companion for many meals, dinners, and events. Its versatility, properties, freshness, and unmistakable flavour make it the perfect choice for both summer and winter. Spain is the third largest white wine exporter to Norway, behind France and Italy, and for this reason, now is time to make Spanish white wines better known in this country. During this wine tasting, the sommeliers will be able to deepen their knowledge and experience the high quality of our white wines.

Liora Levi discovered her interest in wine while working in a restaurant. After making several trips throughout Europe, she decided that she wanted to become a sommelier, a dream that she fulfilled in 2010. She is currently the president of the Norwegian Association of Sommeliers and has her own television show "Wine First" where she travels the world of wine together with the Swedish sommelier Maya Samuelsson and the Argentine foodie Yolanda Año. But not only that, Liora Levi is also a manager ambassador for the Star Wine List, a writer for Maison Mat & Vit, an ambassador at Riedel and works as a wine expert on the television show Good Morning Norway.
