Chef Paco Pérez to Open Catalan Restaurant in Manchester This June

Tast Cuina Catalana will serve traditional and modern Catalan fare in a friendly, casual environment at affordable prices

Catalan cuisine is coming to Manchester, thanks to chef Paco Pérez. The Michelin-star chef will be opening up Tast Cuina Catalana this June.

His goal is to highlight the best of this northern cuisine in a way that is accessible for consumers, serving delicious Catalonian fare that’s affordable.

As for the menu, Pérez will offer his interpretation of Catalan dishes, and there will also be a focus on tastets, or small portions for sharing.

Says the chef, “We are delighted to bring Catalan cuisine to Manchester and to be part of the amazing team behind Tast,” according to thecaterer.com.

Said another partner in this project, “Catalonia has a distinctive identity and culture from that of Spain, and our ambition is to introduce people to its wonderful tastes and flavors. Paco’s reputation is immense and we will serve some of his… favorite Catalan dishes, both traditional and with innovative modern twists,” according to bighospitality.co.uk.

Pérez is part of the management team of two Michelin-star restaurants: Miramar, in Girona, and the Enoteca at the Arts Hotel, in Barcelona. He also runs a Michelin-star restaurant in Berlin called Restaurant Cinc, which is located at the Hotel Das Stue.
