Albert Adrià Heads to Oregon for MeetheChef Series

One of Spain’s most famous chefs, Albert Adrià, is on his way to Oregon to participate in a series of special events from December 4th to the 8th.

First he’ll be at a contemporary art museum on the 4th, where he will offer a cooking demo and a talk about innovation, failure, and the creative process. The activity will be followed up with a dinner that evening, held in Adrià’s honor, at Ataula. The Spanish chef will be a guest at the event, where attendees will feast on an amazing 7-course meal. Ataula is a leading restaurant in the city’s Alphabet District, known for its delicious Spanish and Catalan food. Tickets are sold out.

On December 6th and 7th, “the godfather of modern desserts,” as pdxmonthly.com calls him, will be in Seattle offering a cooking demo and presentation at Google Headquarters, followed by a meal at the restaurant Tarsan i Jane. Run by Valencian chef Perfecte Roche, this contemporary locale offers the best flavors from Spain’s east coast. Attendees at both events will include members of the national press, including food journalists, as well as chefs and other trade professionals.

Albert Adrià is one of Spain’s most distinguished chefs, and he runs several successful restaurants in Barcelona, among them Tickets and Enigma. He recently opened a pastry restaurant in London called Cakes & Bubbles.
