A new edition of Barcelona Wine Week (BWW) was held from February 2rd to 4th, 2026 at the Montjuïc exhibition center of Fira de Barcelona. The main topic of this year was "The Human Factor: A Legacy to Preserve" and it brought together more than 1,350 wineries and featured the representation of 90 designations of origin and quality seals from all over Spain, consolidating itself as one of the main international platforms for the promotion of Spanish wine. With a focus on sustainability, innovation and pairings with Spanish gastronomy, BWW is positioned as the ideal place for industry professionals to discover the excellence and diversity of Spanish wines.
As part of this year’s event, Foods & Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España developed a Hosted Buyers Program, which included the participation of 47 international buyers selected in collaboration with the Economic and Commercial Offices of the Spanish embassies abroad. These buyers came from the following regions:
Following the success of previous editions, the invited buyers program was strengthened once again to boost the trade show's commercial activity. In collaboration with Foods and Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España, BWW brought together over 880 international buyers from strategic markets in Europe, America, and Asia, which allowed for the organization of around 13,500 business meetings.
Among the confirmed professionals were distributors such as Divin (Canada), Delta Wines (Netherlands), Global Wines & Spirits (Colombia), and Imperial Beverage (USA), as well as executives from supermarket chains like Coto (Argentina), NSLC (Canada), and Huge (Japan). They were joined by more than a thousand national buyers from large-scale distribution, specialized retail, and the Horeca channel from across the country.
