49 International Professionals participated at Fruit Attraction

The Fruit Attraction trade fair took place in Madrid from September 30 to October 2, bringing together the global fruit and vegetable industry’s leading players. As the largest event of its kind, it attracted over 121,000 visitors and more than 2,400 exhibitors from 152 countries. Spread across several pavilions, the fair offered producers, buyers, and industry professionals an exceptional platform to network, promote their businesses, and showcase the innovation, quality, and diversity that define the sector.

As part of this year’s edition, 49 international buyers were invited by Foods and Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España to participate in a special program. These guests — CEOs, managers, sales executives, and purchasing directors- represented every area of the fruit and vegetable industry. They came from Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, China Mexico, Denmark, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Thailand, the UAE, the United States, and Uzbekistan. The guest countries for this edition were Mexico and Malaysia.

Participants followed a dedicated agenda, taking part in Hosted Buyers B2B meetings during the opening days of the fair. These sessions were held in the Business Center and Buyers Meeting Area, key networking hubs of the event.

In addition, Fruit Attraction 2025 hosted the World Fresh Forum, a series of webinars organized by ICEX in collaboration with SEC and MAPA, focusing on markets of opportunity. This edition spotlighted Mexico, Malaysia, and China.

A Major Event

The 17th edition of Fruit Attraction, celebrated in 2025, was organized around four main areas:

- Fresh Area: Representing 78.4% of the fair, this section included all fruit and vegetable sectors. Spanish companies accounted for 52% of exhibitors, while 37 international companies participated in the Hosted Buyers B2B program, with the largest contingents from Canada and China.

- Auxiliary Industry Area: Covering 31% of the exhibition space, this segment saw a notable increase from the previous year, featuring 11 international participants in the B2B program.

- Fresh Food Logistics Area: Encompassing the entire supply chain related to fresh produce logistics.

- Innova Tech Area: A newly created space highlighting Spain’s strong commitment to innovation in agricultural technology.
