CFDF 2024

China Food and Drinks Fair (CFDF) is the main event in the alcoholic beverages industry in China. It began in 1955 as fair dedicated to spirits and tobacco. It switched its focus to the wine sector as the size of the market in the country increased, and this year marks the 110th edition of the fair.

A total of 13 PGI’s will be featured at the FWS pavilion, with some of the best Spanish wines on offer in China, from organic and natural wines to whites, sparking and reds.

CFDF is structured towards establishing relationships with local distributors. Therefore, in order to perform successfully at the fair, participants must already have established a solid business relationship with one or two local importers at least. 

This year the stakes are high, as CFDF will set the temperature for the rest of the year and provide a glimpse of the wine categories that are showing resilience amid a sluggish market. So far, importers are reporting good start-of-the-year sales for wines on the 100-300 Rmb/bottle price category, of which our Espacio España showcases a wonderful selection.
