Iconic restaurant Asador de Aranda is expanding its footprint, opening an outpost in the United Arab Emirates at the Address Downtown Dubai Hotel on November 15th.
Asador de Aranda is a popular restaurant and attracts everyone from royalty and celebrities to tourists. Its most popular dish is roasted suckling lamb, which is traditionally prepared in a wood-fired oven. Other specialties include gazpacho, vegetable stew, lamb chops, spare ribs, and steak as well as Castilian flavors such as marinated suckling lamb, roasted chicken croquettes, PDO Cecina de León and eggs and potatoes with suckling lamb. The torta de Aranda bread, which is a typical shepherd’s olive oil bread, is also one of the main attractions. Noteworthy desserts include crema catalana (similar to crème brûlée), puff pastry with custard and Chantilly cream, pears poached in wine with yogurt ice cream and citrus aroma, and torrijas (caramelized brioche with candied almonds and hazelnut ice cream).
Asador de Aranda, which has been operating for four decades, has restaurants all over Spain, in Aranda de Duero, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Valencia, Seville, Valladolid, Oviedo and Madrid, and one restaurant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
