Dani García Brings his Unique Spanish Cuisine to London

The chef has opened a new BiBo outpost, at the Mondrian Hotel in Shoreditch, his first project in London

There’s a new Spanish locale open for business in London, thanks to Dani García. The internationally acclaimed chef continues to expand his footprint, now opening his BiBo restaurant inside the Mondrian Hotel in Shoreditch. BiBo serves up the chef’s interpretation of Spanish dishes and, specifically, Andalusian recipes with a modern twist. The chef has other BiBo restaurants in Spain and abroad, in Marbella, Madrid, Ibiza, Málaga, Tarifa, Doha and now in London. In each outpost, the chef uses local ingredients and techniques to prepare his delicious Spanish fare. Menu highlights include mussels in escabeche sauce, BiBo Russian salad, chorizo brioche with quail egg, Ibérico pork presa, Ibérico ham croquettes, dry aged Txuleta burger, and roast milk-fed lamb.

Says García, “My goal is to create dishes from the food memories that I’ve been accumulating as I’ve traveled in Spain and beyond. This new restaurant is like a culinary travel guide, focused on Spain and created to let people enjoy the cuisine ‘of my roots.’ I hope that all of our customers in the UK enjoy our unique Spanish cuisine with a personal touch.” García is a 3 Michelin star chef with a very lengthy list of awards to his name, including the Prix Versailles for the Best Decoration in 2017 for his BiBo restaurant in Madrid, the Sánchez Cotán Award from the Royal Academy of Gastronomy for the Best Menu Design for BiBo Madrid and Marbella, and the Andalusian Gastronomy Award in 2015.
