Their gourmet turrón is made with cherry ganache, pecan praline, crispy rice and Ras el Hanout toffee
The holidays are generally a joyful time, but they’re about to get even more exciting thanks to a collaboration between two superchefs: José Andrés and Albert Adrià. Together they’ve created a unique turrón for popular brand Torrons Vicens, based in Agramunt, Lledia, which is certain to increase the holiday cheer this season.
Their artisan nougat is called Cherry Times and was created alongside master turrón maker Vicens Angel Velasco. It’s made with cherry ganache, pecan praline, crispy rice and Ras el Hanout toffee. A portion of the proceeds from this delicious turrón will be donated to the Sant Joan de Deu Pediatric Cancer Center in Barcelona.
The company has a slew of new products this season, as Velasco has been hard at work coming up with new combinations. This includes lemon textures turrón with praline and lemon caramel, dipped in white chocolate; and Madagascar bourbon vanilla gianduja turrón with macadamia nuts, dipped in milk chocolate and topped with crunchy, caramelized macadamia nuts.
