The premium Spanish brewery has organized loads of special food and beer events in Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England this month
Spanish food has been on people’s lips in northern Europe this month thanks to an initiative from Spanish brewery Estrella Galicia. The company has organized its Gastronomy Month, bringing the delicious flavors of Spain to the best restaurants in Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England. The goal of this initiative is to introduce diners to a wide range of premium beers which pair perfectly with Spanish dishes.
Diners are learning all about food and beer pairings and have the opportunity to enjoy paired menus, tasting menus and also tapas tours, all of it hosted by Estrella Galicia. This month-long event has been especially well received this year, as many people may not have been able to visit Spain during their vacation. The beer’s ambassadors include some of the leading Spanish chefs in the region, including Angel Zapata Martin, from Barrafina; Owen Morgan, from 44 Group; Gustavo Marin, from The Embassy; Nieves Barragán Mohacho, from Sabor, and Monika Linton, from Brindisa, among others.
Examples of events include tapas tours in Newcastle, Brighton and Bristol; tasting menus at Rioja restaurant in Glasgow and Urban Brewing in Dublin; and a special tapas crawl involving Bar 44 and Gambas Tapas that includes a ride on a boat. And for those people who prefer a virtual experience, Ibérica restaurant is offering online masterclasses.
