When superchef José Andrés isn’t running his existing business empire and serving food to people affected by natural disasters through his NGO, World Central Kitchen, he’s launching new restaurants.

He and his company, ThinkFoodGroup, are opened three new locales in downtown LA this year, all at The Grand LA complex, designed by Frank Gehry. It also includes shops, luxury apartments and a luxury hotel called the Conrad LA.

Two of his restaurants will be inside the hotel, on the 10th floor. One will be on the roof serving Latin- and Asian-inspired food and a poolside menu, and the other will be inside offering “magical Spanish feasts” made with ingredients sourced from local California farms. There will also be a lobby bar serving agaves and tropical flavors, including sherries from Spain.

The third restaurant will be Bazaar Meat by José Andrés, a concept that the chef originally launched in LA back in 2008. His team later opened variations in different US locations and is now ready to bring a new version of his idea to the city where it all started. Says Andrés, “I love Los Angeles! It’s where we debuted The Bazaar years ago and since then we’ve evolved with many new stories to share through food… I can’t wait to give Angelenos and the world an exciting new destination for dining in downtown LA,” according to restaurant-hospitality.com.
