Purple Sweet Potato Chips by Spanish Company Genuine Coconut Takes 3rd Place Among Top Innovations at ISM

The ISM food fair, the largest in the world for sweets and snacks, recently drew to a close in Cologne, Germany, and a product from Spain did particularly well as part of the New Product Showcase.

Genuine Coconut’s Purple Sweet Potato BBQ Flavored Chips took 3^rd place in the ranking of top innovations at ISM. This vegan product really stood out, thanks to its unique, smoky flavor and its unique spin on traditional potato chips. These potato chips stand out especially for their deep purple color, which is entirely natural and comes from the variety of sweet potato use. It also has a very crunchy texture, which consumers love and, in line with the company’s commitment to sustainability, it’s sold in original packaging that is 70% paper.

According to Ana Molina, the company’s sales manager for Europe, “We are very grateful to receive this award as this is our first year at ISM…. [The award] recognizes the dedicated team’s months of work on this project.
