International Experts visit SALAMAQ agricultural fair 2025

The SALAMAQ agricultural fair was held in Salamanca from September 4 to 8, 2025, positioning itself as a key event to promote the selected livestock breeds from Spain

As part of the collaboration agreement between ICEX and RFEAGAS, an international trade mission was organized from September 3 to 7, bringing together a delegation of buyers from Mexico (Dr. Raymundo Gudiño), Uruguay (Mr. Alberto Bozzo), and Brazil (Mr. Valdecir Marín). The initiative aimed to strengthen the international promotion and commercial expansion of Spanish native livestock breeds, contributing to the global positioning of the sector and supporting Spain’s economic internationalisation strategy.

A total of 3 buyers participated in a comprehensive program designed to highlight the morphological and productive qualities of both cattle breeds the Asturiana de los Valles (from Asturias) and the Avileña Negra Ibérica (from Ávila).

In the first part of the trip, participants travelled to Asturias to learn more about the cattle breed Asturiana de los Valles and they visited the headquarters of the association ASEAVA, as well as the stallion selection centre, a feedlot, the semen production centre of the breed and a cattle farm in Somiedo.
