Spanish Gastronomy at Las Vegas Winter Fancy Food

Spain’s gastronomy and culture will be highlighted at this year’s Winter Fancy Food in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Sunday, February 6th to Tuesday, February 8th, as industry professionals come together, in-person for the first time in two years. Tens of thousands of specialty food and beverage products will be available for discovery at the event for a one-of-a-kind, trade show destination.

Acclaimed Chef Mat Schuster, owner of Canela Bistro & Wine Bar (SF), will be the official host of the #SpainFoodNation Gastro Area in the Spanish Pavillion. Chef Schuster’s neighborhood Spanish restaurant in San Francisco focuses on modern takes of traditional Spanish cuisine. Founded in 2011, Canela Bistro & Wine Bar is the realization of a dream to share the love of Spanish cuisine and culture in San Francisco. Schuster has dedicated his life to creating sophisticated and unforgettable flavors using only top of the line local products in conjunction with gourmet Spanish products.

 

“I am excited to work with Spain and be part of the 2022 Winter Fancy Food Show,” says Schuster. “I can’t wait to share some special products and recipes from Spain’s wide variety of flavors. I “bet” we will all have an amazing time. Viva Las Vegas!”.

 

Chef Schuster will lead seminars and live cooking shows for both trade and media, which will give guests an opportunity to taste and explore Spain’s high-quality ingredients and rich cuisine. Among the exhibitors, there will be 19 Spanish companies showing and promoting their high-quality products–including cheese, Iberian ham, olive oil, bread and desserts–providing trade and media attendees with the opportunity to dive deeper into Spain’s unique offerings.

   


 

Exploring Spain One Bite at a Time (for Trade Professionals Only)

  • Pintxo of Olive, Boquerone, Conserve of Pulpo, Crushed Torres Chips, Olive Oil.
  • Course 1 - Golden Beet Gazpacho, Oloroso Vinegar, Goat Blue, Croutons, Olive Oil.
  • Course 2 - Champiñones (Mushrooms), Olive Oil, Garlic, Fino Sherry, Piparra Pepper.
  • Course 3 - Grilled Cheese, Tomato Bread, Cana de Cabra, Fig Jam, Piquillo Peppers, Encurtidos.
  • Course 4 - Tartlettes of Chocolate Ganache and Membrillo Cream.
  • Beverage - Membrillo y Manzanilla Mocktail, Membrillo, Honey, Lemon, Chamomile, Sparkling Water and topped with Ice.       

 

Savoring The Four Corners of Spain (for Media & Influencers)

  • Course 1 - Spanish Cheese Tasting, Manchego, Oveja Añejo, Goat Blue, Cana de Cabra, Accompaniments.

  • Course 3 - Setas (Oyster Mushrooms), Olive Oil, Garlic, Fino Sherry, 20 mo. Jamon Serrano, Toast.
