China Food and Drinks Fair (CFDF) is the main event in the alcoholic beverages industry in China. It began in 1955 as fair dedicated to spirits and tobacco. It switched its focus towards the wine sector as the market size increased in the country. 

CFDF is structured towards establishing relationships with local distributors. Therefore, in order to perform successfully in the fair, participants must already have established a solid business relationship with one or two local importers at least. 

At the 2019 edition -the 2020 edition was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic- the fairgrounds occupied 12 pavilions and received more than 300,000 professional visitors. ICEX will take part in the fair through an Espacio España, with a total of 26 exhibitor stands and 390 m2 surface area. The stands are in a privileged position within Hall 12. This year, the exhibitors consist of local distributors of Spanish wine and drinks, and Chinese branches of Spanish producers. 

In order to ensure everyone’s safety, our participation in CFDF will take place strictly following the COVID19 prevention and control measures implemented by the Chinese authorities.  Our participation in the fair is part of the #SpainFoodNation program, a collaboration between ICEX and Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación, with the objective of developing the image of Spain’s gastronomy as well as its strong compromise with sostenibility, quality, innovation, food safety, and solidarity values.
