The 9th edition of the Open Days: Spanish Food and Wine Showroom organized by Foods and Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España will be held in Guangzhou on the 6^th of June, 2023.

The Open Days have been successful bringing key actors of the agrifood and beverage sectors together in China. The main goal of these events is to achieve the promotion of high-quality products from Spain, to increase the awareness of Spanish products in Hunan province and to facilitate the relations between companies and distributors, thus providing business opportunities for them.

Guangzhou is the most important financial, industrial, commercial and transportation centre in Southern China. With over 13 million inhabitants and more than 22,000$ per capita income, Guangzhou has a privileged position as main business hub in the Greater Bay Area. It is the capital of Guangdong province, the largest consumer market in the country, with a strong annual growth, as well as one of the main ports of entry in China and an axis of world trade. Guangzhou is at the core of the economic zone of the Pearl River Delta that encompasses a population of over 70 million inhabitants, with a consumption of food and beverages that grows at annual rates higher than 9%.

The previous editions of the Open Days got together more than 400 professionals (importers, distributors, foodservice professionals, sommeliers and media specialists) and more than 100 final consumers. On this occasion, the Open Day Guangzhou will include a number of parallel activities, including flamenco shows, ham cutting, tapas corner, as well as seminars designed to promote the knowledge of Spanish Food & Wines, gastronomy and the best sustainable practices carried out by Spanish food and wine producers among our visitors from Guangzhou. 

Spain has more than 20 years’ experience organizing promotional events in this country, developing relations between Spanish companies and Chinese importers and distributors, as well as promoting the image of quality and excellence of Foods and Wines from Spain.
