Open Days, also known as the Spanish food and beverage importers' fair in Japan, is one of the most important fairs for the Spanish agri-food sector organized by Foods and Wines from Spain, through the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Japan, and Alimentos de España. "Open Days" is a showcase in which Japanese companies engaged in the import of wines and gourmet food from Spain show their products to liquor shops, food retailers, restaurants, bars, hotels, specialized stores and other professionals of the sector.
The event focuses on two basic aspects. First, to project the image of quality and excellence of Spanish food and beverages in Japanese market through importers. Secondly, to maximize opportunities for interaction between importers and the various players in the Japanese food sector to promote their sales and expand their distribution network in the country.
The 2023 spring edition in Tokyo featured more than 400 brands with 46 exhibitors and welcomed more than 400 visitors. The 2023 Osaka event welcomed more than 300 visitors with 40 exhibitors. In 2024, the event has a new location, Fukuoka, further contributing to the diversity of importers and the overall scope of the fair.
All the products on display will be of Spanish origin. Some of the products showcase at the event are the following:
Food: olive oil; spices; seasonings and condiments; pasta; cured ham and other sausages; seafood products (anchovies.); pickles.
