Taste of Europe is an annual event hosted by the EU Delegation to the USA and the embassies of its Member States to highlight European agrifood products in the United States. Each participating EU Member State contributes up to four food items (finger foods) or drinks for the event, displayed to the public in a fairtrade-style exhibition. The showcase features a wide diversity of European flavors, including high-quality cheeses, olives, hams, chocolates, pastries, desserts, and beverages.

In its sixth edition, Taste of Europe 2025 will take place on October 22nd at The 507 in Washington DC’s historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, attracting over 200 guests, including Congressional members, US administration representatives, diplomatic staff, and numerous Europe enthusiasts. This year, the format has been enhanced with the addition of a fireside chat featuring the EU Ambassador together with high-level speakers, offering guests not only a taste of European products but also a space for dialogue and exchange.

Spain’s exhibit is organized by Foods and Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España, with support from the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Washington DC and the Agricultural Office of Spain. It will showcase four key Spanish gourmet products: Iberian ham, cheeses, table olives, and extra virgin olive oil, reflecting the essence of Spanish cuisine. Not only the products matter, but also the know-how, which is why a professional ham cutter will be there to make sure the ham is properly sliced and displayed.
