TASTING SPANISH FLAVOURS 2023 LATVIA

ICEX Spain Exports and Investments in cooperation with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Vilnius (in charge of the markets of Lithuania and Latvia) is organizing a tasting of Spanish olive oils, with the aim of promoting of those already present in the Latvian market and presenting new ones that may be of interest for Latvian consumers.

Spanish olive oil is a world-renowned product, famous for its exceptional quality, rich flavor profile, and numerous health benefits. Produced primarily from carefully selected olives grown across the picturesque landscapes of Spain, this golden elixir is characterized by its low acidity, exquisite aroma, and distinct fruity undertones.

Olive oil is a vital component of the Mediterranean diet, celebrated for its heart-healthy properties and versatility in cooking. Its exceptional taste and nutritional value have led to a steady demand both domestically and internationally. Spanish producers have embraced modern techniques while respecting traditional methods, ensuring that each bottle of extra virgin olive oil reflects the region's rich heritage and commitment to excellence.

With this tasting we do not only want to offer specific products that could be successful in the Latvian market, but we also want to show the attendees examples of the ample variety of olive oils that Spain has to offer, and how each one of them has its own different flavor and nuances.

The tasting will take place on the 23rd of November and will be guided by Ingus Linē.

Participation in the tasting is only possible with prior registration. The registration period will begin on the 17th of October.

TASTING SPANISH FLAVOURS is a meeting point for importers, distributors, specialized individuals, journalists, and representatives of HoReCa sector. This year we will be presenting 8 different types of Extra Virgin Olive Oils of three different varieties (Picual, Arbequina and Manzanilla Cacereña) and from a wide range of regions (Cáceres, Jaén, La Rioja, Navarra, Valladolid and Zaragoza).
