Vertical farming allows for fresher products

H2Hydroponics has launched a brand that develops cultivation and control systems for greenhouses capable of producing 30% faster in any climate

H2Hydroponics, which has recently launched their new brand Atlantic Farms, develops cultivation and control systems for greenhouses capable of producing 30% faster in any climate. Indeed their cultivation and control systems are already producing in extreme climates such as Dubai, or Greenland. The H2HYBRID growing system of the startup consists of the hybridization of the traditional hydroponic growing systems NFT and DWC, obtaining a highly productive system in any climate, easy to handle by people without experience in hydroponics and capable of producing any vegetable of leaf or fruit with its versatility of design.
Thanks to this technology, using this system will reduce the installation and operational costs, and reduce water usage up to 80%, in addition to fresh products.

There is also another Spanish company focusing on hydroponic farming called Ekonoke. They produce greens in a sustainable manner, making sure to not use any chemical pesticides, single-use plastics, carbon footprint, and guarantee to waste. Similarly to H2Hydroponics, Ekonoke’s system can be used year round, regardless of the climate. One of the advantages of the greens from this brand is that they come with incredible flavor, unlike store-bought products that most likely need to be seasoned to be eaten. One of the founders states that arugula is one of the best examples in noticing the difference in flavor since "it has a super intense flavor with a very full bitterness". As we can see, vertical farming allows for fresh and delicious flavors and crops can grow at any time of the year regardless of the climate where they are located. With the ever changing world climate, this might just be the solution for the future of agriculture.
