This year’s event honors Alain Ducasse and he is accompanied by a large group of chefs from France
The eagerly anticipated food conference San Sebastián Gastronomika is back this year and will run from November 14th to the 17th. This in-person event will honor French chef Alain Ducasse this year and pay homage to his lengthy career. This year’s edition, entitled “Reencounters,” will seek to set the stage for a new dialogue between French and Spanish food, “a reunion of two of the world’s greatest cuisines.”
Ducasse will be accompanied by a large group of prestigious chefs from his home country. He will present his unique new project, ADMO*, a temporary, experimental restaurant project with Albert Adrià open at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac in Paris. Expected to be the most exclusive restaurant in the city over the next few months, it opened its doors on November 9th and is looking to serve lunch and dinner only until March, where “Spanish and French cuisine vibrate in unison in a conscious and sustainable approach.”
As for the conference, Spanish participants include Josean Alija, Joan Roca, Arnau Bosch, Elena Arzak, Pedro Subijana, Eneko Atxa, and Paco Morales, among others. Prestigious chefs from other countries will also be in attendance.
