Leading tableware brand Summa has a new initiative, highlighting up-and-coming chefs in “culinary capsules” from San Sebastián to Seville
The leader in high-end tableware, glassware and cutlery for the hospitality sector Summa recently announced the members of The Next Generation Chefs, a group of six up-and-coming standout chefs chosen for their ambition, professional track record and innovation. These chefs have not only interned and worked at some of the world’s best locales, they also run their own successful restaurants.
The Next Generation Chefs are Ignacio Martínez, from Barceló Hotel Group; Sergi Palacín, from The Alchemix; Camila Ferraro and Robert Tetas, from Sobretablas; Rebeca Barainka from Galerna; María Gómez, from Magoga and Borja Susilla, from Tula.
During the month of July, Summa shared the chefs’ recommendations and stories through culinary capsules, including unique recipes they created inspired by Summa’s products. They came up with dishes like smoked mackerel with a light eggplant sauce, parmesan soup, citrus fruits and trout eggs and artichoke rice with tender garlic and squid.
Says Pablo Canestri, Summa’s spokesperson and brand manager in Spain, on infohoreca.com, “During a year when the hospitality sector is one of the industries that has suffered the most, we wanted to celebrate it in the best possible way: by talking about the future and entrepreneurship. Having a chef-owner outlook was a key factor when Summa chose the stars of its campaign: chefs that invite their customers… to experience culinary art, from San Sebastián to Seville.”
