Spanish Frozen Yogurt Brand Llaollao Opens 100th Store in Malaysia

Asia, where the brand hopes to have 130 stores by year-end, is the brand’s second-most important market after Spain

Spain’s top frozen yogurt brand is really making waves abroad. Llaollao has officially opened 320 stores and sold more than 100 million tubs around the world, and its cold, creamy treats are especially popular in Malaysia. Llaollao was founded in Denia in the province of Alicante, Spain, in 2009.

The company recently opened its 100th store there, having increased its points-of-sale by an impressive +55% since 2022. It also has some ambitious plans: to open an additional 30 stores there before the end of this year. This would make Asia it’s second-most important market, after Spain.

In addition to opening its 100th store, other noteworthy milestones include opening its first flagship store at the Pavilion KL shopping mall, which included a very special “Froyo Party” to celebrate, with several activities.

Llaollao has made a name for itself based on its commitment to both authenticity and quality, and only uses the best natural ingredients. It also endeavors to reflect the essence of Spanish gastronomy in its products. It has been so successful in Malaysia in particular due to a combination of consumer loyalty and high brand recognition. Today it is the Spanish food brand with the strongest presence in Malaysia.

It opened its first store in the area, in Singapore in 2013, but it also operates in Indonesia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Myanmar, and the Philippines.

The company has its sights set beyond Asia as well. It recently opened locales in Oceania and it touched down in South America, with plans to open in Bolivia in the very near future.
