12 Spanish Oils Receive Distinctions at Scandinavian International Olive Oil Competition

Spanish candidates took home gold, silver, and best in class awards for its most exceptional olive oils 

The Scandinavian International Olive Oil Competition (SIOOC) is an important event that offers producers a platform to showcase their products and connect with other professionals in the industry. The event comprises 3 categories: Quality, Healthy, and Infused Oils, and focuses on exceptional quality oils and uses highly rigorous criteria.

A dozen olive oils from Spain received distinctions at this year’s competition. Gold awards went to Goya Único Premium and Goya Organics Premium oils, Goya’s Garlic extra virgin olive oil, Rincón Subbética, Oro Serie Parqueoliva, Entre Caminos Ecológico, Knolive, Palacio de los Olivos Picual, and Palacio de los Olivos Arbaquina. The Gold Awards for Best in Class went to Alma Olivo Bio, and there were 2 silver awards: Goya Robuto and Alma Oliva Arbequina.

Hundreds of premium oils participated, and candidates were evaluated by a panel of prestigious international experts and recognized tasters, from France, Spain, Greece, Tunisia, the Netherlands, and Italy. The oils were blind tested only. The event was held in Oslo this year.
