Cava Meeting UK 2025

Cava Meeting UK is an initiative of ICEX and the Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with the DO Cava Regulatory Council, aimed at professionals from the sector, the Horeca channel and the press, which is articulated through the participation of wines from the category Cava de Guarda Superior in the 40th Anniversary of the Investiture Dinner of the Gran Orden de Caballeros del Vino as a welcome and post-dinner wine and a guided tasting in Manchester that is part of the Wines From Spain Annual Tasting 2025 trade fair.

The 40th Annual Investiture Dinner of the Gran Orden de Caballeros del Vino will be held on 12 June 2025 at the Landmark Hotel in London. The Gran Orden de Caballeros del Vino (GOCV), founded in 1984 by ICEX, was created as an instrument to promote and develop Spanish wines. Since then, every year it accredits those people who have distinguished themselves in an exceptional way in the promotion of quality Spanish wines in the United Kingdom.

The investiture ceremony, which is the main activity of the Order, takes place during a gala dinner in London. There are currently 69 Caballeros de la Orden, representing the most elite of our British wine exporting and importing sector. Illustrious and influential Masters of Wine, prescribers and professionals of the Spanish restaurant industry in the United Kingdom can also be found between the assistants of the event.

Thus, throughout the evening, professionals will be able to taste Cavas de Guarda Superior and appreciate all the nuances of these wines.

Previously, as part of this promotion, a guided tasting of Cavas de Guarda Superior presented by Sarah Jane Evans MW was also held. The event took place on 28 April in Manchester at The Fountain House as part of the Wines From Spain Annual Tasting 2025.

Sarah Jane Evans MW presented a selection of Cavas de Guarda Superior, a premium category that includes the highest quality Cavas Reserva, Gran Reserva and Cavas de Paraje Calificado.
