Spain Food Nation Summit Japan 2026

The third annual Spain Food Nation Summit Japan (Summit) will take place on the morning of September 28th at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo.

Summit is a space aimed at strengthening trade relations between Spain and Japan, enabling discussions about how to improve the positioning and demand for Spanish foods and drinks in the Japanese market.

Summit is an initiative of ICEX Spain Trade and Investment and MAPA, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Within the framework of the agreement between both institutions for the international promotion of the food industry, the figure of advisory councils in strategic markets for the food industry (China, USA, United Kingdom and Japan) has been created. These bodies, made up of professionals from distribution channels and main sector media, analyse market developments and trends and present valuable contributions to improve the positioning of Spanish food and beverage companies in these markets.

In this Summit roundtable, members of the Advisory Committee—active on the front lines of the industry—will take the stage to explore the history, current standing, and future outlook of Spanish food and wine in the Japanese market. By thoroughly analyzing the latest market trends and consumer needs, this session offers valuable insights directly applicable to your future business strategies.
