Open Day Vietnam 2024

Open Day 2024 will again take place in Ho Chi Minh City, the economic center of the country, at the prestigious Caravelle Saigon Hotel, in the heart of the city.

This second edition of what it has already become the event of reference in Vietnam for the promotion of food and wine from Spain, will be again a meeting place for Vietnamese importers who already have Spanish products in their catalogue (as exhibitors) and professional public with purchasing capacity or capacity for encouraging the purchase (as guests). The event is restricted to gourmet & delicatessen items, top quality and high value articles, products with a denomination of origin, with an ecological certificate, etc.

The event will provide a chance to meet a wide range of the most influential players in the food and beverage industry from importers, distributors, and agents to the foodservice industry (HORECA) and media specialist, who will have the opportunity to see first-hand the extensive Spanish product range.

Despite the international and local difficulties of 2023, Spanish products in Vietnam have gained traction among Vietnamese consumers. Spanish olive oil is the undisputable leader of the market; Spain is the 5th supplier of pork, in general, to Vietnam and is the unquestionable reference of gourmet pork meat by the widespread recognition of the Spanish Iberico breed, increasingly available in restaurants and hotels. Along these products, Spanish Beef, Wine, Dairy, Seafood, Confectionary and preserved delicatessens have steadily taken their place in the catalogues of the main suppliers in Vietnam, and as a necessary offer in restauration menus.

The fundamental principle of Spanish Gourmet food: Exclusive Selection of traditional and natural ingredients, resonates in the increasing Vietnamese middle and high class that are able to access to better and better quality and are constantly increasing their knowledge of food and international food trends.

This activity is part of the #SpainFoodNation campaign developed under the agreement signed by ICEX and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPA) to promote the image of Spanish food, wines, and beverages in key export markets and provide opportunities for Spanish companies. The Spanish Food & Beverage - Open Day Vietnam 2024 is organized to highlight the quality and great variety of foods, wines and other beverages from Spain currently available in the Vietnamese market.

The Economic & Commercial Office of Spain in Vietnam and ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, as the official trade promotion body of the Spanish Government in Vietnam, develop relations between Spanish companies and Vietnamese importers and distributors, as well as promote the image of quality and excellence of Foods and Wines.
