Salón Gourmets 2024
49 International Professionals to Participate in the Salón Gourmets Hosted Buyers Program
The renowned Salón Gourmets trade fair is returning to Madrid this spring, and will be held from April 22nd to the 25th at the Ifema Convention Center. More than 100,000 trade professionals are expected to attend this year, and over 55,000 products will be on display.
As part of this year’s event, 49 international buyers have been invited by Foods and Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España, to participate in a special program. They’re coming from Vietnam, the UAE, Switzerland, Japan, Sweden, Ireland, Singapore, the UK, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Greece, Hungary, Qatar, Poland, India, Mexico, Colombia, Canada, Bulgaria, Morocco, Slovenia, Lithuania, Hong Kong, the US, Croatia, Denmark, South Korea, China, and Austria. They’re interested in learning about different aspects of Spanish gastronomy, from gourmet items and wines to Ibérico products.
They have a specific agenda, and after they arrive on April 21st, they will attend the fair on the 22nd , participating in visits organized specifically for professionals, and taking part in Hosted Buyers B2B meetings. This schedule will continue for the duration of the fair, and they will also enjoy organized visits to the cheese, wine, and olive oil sections of Salon Gourmets. They also will be involved in dining at local restaurants in the evenings.
A major event
Salón Gourmets, which celebrates in 2024 its 37th edition, is known for its prestigious competitions, which includes everything from ham carving to sommeliers, along with countless cooking demos, tastings, and other activities.
This year will also include the new Cheese from Spain Awards, sponsored by ICEX, which aims to recognize the best Spanish cheeses with export potential. They will then participate in several promotional activities to raise their profile abroad.
