Wines from Spain Virtual Tasting

As first event in Singapore on “Wines from Spain” under the new SpainFoodNation initiative by the Spanish Ministries of Industry, Trade and Tourism, and Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, the Embassy of Spain in Singapore and ICEX Spain Trade and Investment hereby invites you to the “Wines From Spain – Virtual Tastings” that will be held (only for Singaporean importers and distributors) throughout the week of December 14th as follows:

• 1st Session – 6 wines: December 14th at 5 pm.
• 2nd Session – 6 wines: December 16th at 5 pm.
• 3rd Session – 6 wines: December 17th at 5 pm.

The 3 “Wines from Spain” virtual tastings will be conducted by Ms. Annette Scarfe, Master of Wine. Annette was awarded the prestigious Master of Wine (MW) title in 2012, winning the Noval Award for her dissertation on Ribera de Duero. She is well known as judge of two of Asia’s premier sommelier competitions (Sopexa Asia Best Sommelier in French Wines, Singapore National Sommelier Competition). Annette judges extensively at wine competitions across 3 continents including Panel Chair at the International Wine Challenge and Team Leader at the Imbibe Sommelier Wine Awards. She is based in Singapore where she has lived for 22 years.

The virtual wine tastings are prepared according to the compulsory Covid-19 situation measures for events in Singapore.

The “Wines from Spain” virtual tastings will be held at 5 pm (Singapore hour) / 10 am (Spanish hour) on December 14th, 16th and 17th and will be also e-attending by some of the wineries which wines are presented. For local participation, importers, distributors and prescribers of wines in Singapore there are 20 e-seats available per session.
