Pintxo-Pote - a Basque food and drink festival by Bar Kroketa (Saturday 26th September 2026)
Bar Kroketa hosts a Basque-inspired food and drink festival at Broadgate Circle, built around pintxos, Basque drinks, music and entertainment.
The festival's hook is Basque bar-hopping culture. Rather than moving between separate bars, we bring several distinct "bar stops" to Broadgate, each run by a different Basque producer - recreating the feel of hopping between bars in the Basque country within one space. Tables and chairs are largely cleared to create a lively, mostly standing-room festival atmosphere.
Guests arrive at Broadgate to cider, Basque music and a festival atmosphere on the terrace. Guests wander freely between the bar stops — a cider stop, a wine stop, a beer stop — each with its own producer pouring, talking guests through their product, and, where possible, a moment of theatre (e.g. Basque txakoli poured from height).
At Bar Kroketa's own stop, a small selection of croquetas is available to taste throughout the day, with guests voting for their favourite as they go - a "People's Champion." This keeps a light, participatory competitive element in the day, and sits entirely within Bar Kroketa's own operation. A simple live vote count could track the People's Champion through the day, with the result revealed informally towards the end of the festival.
The event will be free to attend, guests can book a complimentary ticket which will include a glass of cider. They can also purchase food and drink from the festival on the day.
