Spanish Company Ibense Bornay’s Ice Cream Wins Big in Gulfood Innovation Awards

The winners of the Gulfood Innovation Awards have officially been announced.

These distinctions are given as part of the Gulfood Trade Fair, held at the Dubai World Trade Center from February 18th to the 22nd.

The awards “celebrate and reward excellence across brands and products,” and there were more than 300 entries this year. The winners were chosen by a panel of judges comprising top industry leaders, and both the awards and the trade fair in general offer participants a unique opportunity to network and raise the profile of their brands.

A total of seven Spanish companies were shortlisted in their categories, one of which was Ecoprolive’s 100% olive flour, in the Best Condiment or Sauce category.

Another company from Spain was able to clinch the highest award in its category: Ibense Bornay, based in Cadiz, won the award in the Best Frozen/Chilled Food category for its dairy free ice cream made with olive oil.
