The Advisory Council is comprised of leading and well-respected professionals from the food, beverage, retail, e-commerce, marketing and foodservice sectors, bringing together a broad range of expertise and perspectives on the Chinese agrifood market. These experts contribute valuable insights on consumer trends, market opportunities and challenges, helping define promotional strategies for Spanish food and beverages in China.

Key Insights on Healthy Consumption Trends in China

Health and wellness are becoming increasingly important drivers of consumer behaviour in China, creating new opportunities for premium imported food and beverage products. During this session, members of the Advisory Council will address how Chinese consumers define a healthy lifestyle, the growing relevance of organic and sustainable products, and the opportunities these trends present for Spanish brands.

The discussion will also explore how Spanish products can leverage attributes such as quality, authenticity and Mediterranean origin, while addressing the most effective ways to communicate health and wellbeing in the Chinese market. Special attention will be given to the role of digital platforms, KOLs and content strategies in building trust and engaging consumers.

Bringing together representatives from leading e-commerce platforms, importers, distributors, marketing specialists and industry experts, the session will offer practical insights and recommendations to help Spanish companies strengthen their positioning in one of the most significant consumer trends shaping China's food and beverage market today.

Dr. Jiajia Pan holds qualifications as a National Senior Oenologist of China and serves as both a winery investor and a publisher. Additionally, he holds positions as an external supervisor for master's programs at different universities in China. With 20 years of experience in the wine industry, Dr. Pan's business scope encompasses international trade, brand marketing, sales and marketing, winery investment, cultural dissemination, and professional training and education. He is the co-editor-in-chief of the "Report on the Integrated Development of China's Wine Industry". His research interests lie in wine marketing, wine tourism, wine sensory evaluation, supply chain management in the wine industry, and vocational education.

Marcos Jin (Jinde Jin) is the Brand Ambassador and representative of the HALACO Group in the Chinese market. Founded in 2014, HALACO is an association of companies from across Spain offering a range of products, including wine, olive oil, cheese, Iberian ham and organic snacks. Marcos oversees import and distribution services in China, mainly in the Shanghai region. His objective is to bring Mediterranean gastronomy, wine and a culture of healthy eating closer to Chinese consumers.

Lavi (Xie Zichao) is an international business and community relations professional specialising in food and beverage, cultural exchange and cross-border cooperation between China and Europe. Having spent 30 years in Spain, he works fluently across Chinese, English and Spanish, with additional expertise in Cantonese. He currently serves as Director of the International Food & Beverage Culture Exchange Committee at the Guangdong Imported Food Association and represents international community relations in Guangzhou’s Tianhe District. He is also the founder of the GBA F&B Forum and a European lifestyle events platform

Yuhui Qiao Professor from China Agricultural University, mainly engaged in teaching and scientific research in organic / ecological agriculture. She is the Vice Chairman and Board Member of IFOAM Asia, the global network representing the organic agriculture and food movement. Yuhui Qiao also a member of the Chinese Organic Technology Expert Work task Group under State Administration of Market Regulation; She and her team systematically evaluated the environmental and socioeconomic benefits of China's organic agriculture. She is the author of the annual report of China's organic industry development, involving in the formulation of national / industrial organic standards, and promoting the mutual recognition of organic laws and regulations among countries and the development of organic / ecological industries.

Lu Jia is the Co-founder and Chief Business Officer of Joyrun, one of China’s leading running and sports community platforms. A serial entrepreneur with experience across the cultural, technology and lifestyle sectors, he has extensive expertise in business development, brand partnerships, consumer engagement and commercial activation. His work in building large-scale communities and connecting brands with health-conscious urban consumers is particularly relevant to food and beverage projects focused on healthy lifestyles, premium positioning and experiential promotion

Jackie Yang is the Director of Corner’s Deli, a privately owned premium supermarket chain founded in Guangzhou in 2005. Corner’s Deli is regarded as one of the leading retailers for imported products in the region and often acts as an entry pointfor international brands launching in the Chinese market.

Under its expansion across southern China, Corner’s Deli has developed a network of eight stores in Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Haikou and Sanya. Its shops are located in affluent residential areas with strong expatriate communities.

Alberto Díaz is a China market strategist and international business consultant with over nine years of experience helping European brands navigate the Chinese market. Fluent in Mandarin and deeply familiar with China’s commercial, digital, and cultural landscape, he has worked across market entry, e-commerce ecosystems, cross-border trade, branding, and strategic partnerships. Having traveled extensively throughout China and collaborated with both private companies and institutional stakeholders, his work focuses on bridging Western businesses with the realities of the Chinese market, consumer behavior, and ecommerce ecosystem.
