BEST SOMMELIER 2023 CANADÁ

This triannual event featuring the best sommeliers across the nation competing for the title of Best Sommelier of Canada.

The winner represents Canada at the upcoming ASI Best Sommelier of the Americas 2025 contest and ASI Best Sommelier of the World contest in 2026 (Lisbon, Portugal).

The event consists of 2 days of competitions and 3 days of winery visits and master classes taught by nationally and internationally recognized educators. 

A total of 250 people is expected to attend, either online or in person, they are the top target audience for national B2B.

Sommelier University will hold a sommelier bootcamp at the same time as the Best Sommelier of Canada contest. This bootcamp will bring together sommeliers (80 -100) from across the country, regional Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS) presidents, delegates, sommeliers from CAPS’ 6 (six) regional chapters, local sommeliers, the judges and special guests.

A new vision of Spanish wines will be presented to an audience of top Canadian sommeliers and restaurateurs.

At this event, two Denominations of Origin will present a 45-minute seminar each with up to a maximum of 5 wines each. This master class will be broadcasted live at events in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal.
