OPEN DAYS IN CHANGSHA 2022

The 8th edition of the Open Days: Spanish Food and Wine Showroom organized by Foods and Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España will be held in Changsha on the 23rd of June of 2022.

The Open Days have been successful bringing key actors of the agrifood and beverage sectors together in China. The main goal of these events is to achieve the promotion of high-quality products from Spain, to increase the awareness of Spanish products in Hunan province and to facilitate the relations between companies and distributors, thus providing business opportunities for them.

Changsha, with 7 million inhabitants, is the capital city of Hunan province and one of the commercial and industrial centers of China. Due to its location in the middle of three rivers, it’s a historical distribution centers for goods from all over China. It is also a strategic rail and airport hub, the Changsha airport acts as regional hub for China Southern Airlines and other national and international airlines. Hunan province is in full development, its GDP is similar to Sweden’s and it is demanding more and more foreign products. Changsha is one of the second-tier cities in China with the greatest growth potential.

The previous editions of the Open Days got together more than 400 professionals (importers, distributors, foodservice professionals, sommeliers and media specialists) and more than 100 final consumers. On this occasion, the Open Day Changsha will include a number of parallel activities, including flamenco shows, ham cutting, tapas corner, as well as seminars designed to promote the knowledge of Spanish Food & Wines, gastronomy and the best sustainable practices carried out by Spanish food and wine producers among our visitors from Changsha.

Spain have more than 20 years’ experience organizing promotional events in this country, developing relations between Spanish companies and Chinese importers and distributors, as well as promoting the image of quality and excellence of Foods and Wines from Spain.

To ensure everyone’s safety, the Open Days will take place strictly following the COVID19 prevention and control measures implemented by the Chinese authorities. If necessary, temperature controls will be carried out and the individual healthy code will be requested to enter the venue. Prevention materials such as masks, and disinfectant may be supplied.
