Sommelier Campus 2023 - this year with DOP Cava informing about the new era towards sustainability

Do you already know Cavas of the Guarda Superior category? From 2025, this category will be completely converted to organic. Thomas Götz, Certified Cava Educator and author of the blog Spaniens Weinwelten, reports on the latest developments in the regulations, the zones and the new elaborador integral seal.

On 4 and 5 June 2023, the Sommelier Campus will take place for the fourth time in a row as a supporting program to the general meeting of the Sommelier Union. This year, the focus will once again be on further education, with four selected master classes.

The multifaceted nature of the sommelier profession is ultimately what makes it so exciting. But it is also crucial to always stay up to date. The exchange with colleagues is just as important as regular further training. For this reason, the Sommelier Campus 2023 will once again feature top-class master classes to which only members of the Sommelier Union have exclusive access. ICEX Wine from Spain and the DO Cava will also participate in this further training and take the participants on a varied information and tasting journey based on an exemplary selection of eight cavas:
