Foods from Spain has partnered with Counter Culture to take part in Virtual Counter Culture, an online trade show where eight Spanish craftsmen (or artisans) will introduce their products to professionals in the cheese and specialty food industries. Counter Culture is an online platform of Culture Cheese Magazine, a publication popular among specialty store owners, cheese mongers and foodies.
The event will consist of two virtual sessions, June 21st and June 28th, 2021. Each session will feature four of the participating Spanish producers who will present their artisanal cheeses and other gourmet delicacies to more than 50 attendees, (mainly retailers but also distributors, importers, chefs, and restaurateurs). Each attendant will receive a kit of product samples from producers ahead of the event and will have a chance to learn about the companies and participate in a live guided tasting of their products.
Americans are now more than ever willing to experiment in the kitchen and spend more of their food budget on groceries. In this context, the Virtual Counter Culture for Foods from Spain sessions offer a great opportunity for Spanish producers to showcase their cheese and gourmet offerings, and for US retailers to learn about new products, and add to their portfolios.

Spain's participation in Virtual Counter Culture is coordinated by the Trade Commission of Spain in New York and can be subject to European Union financing through the European Regional Development Fund (ERFD).
