Bulla Gastrobar Spanish Wine Masterclass Following ICEX Award

The Bulla Gastrobar hosted the fourth of its Spanish Wine Masterclass and Bulla Bites series in November. With dates running from the 4th until the 20th of the month, eight different Bulla Gastrobar locations spanning from Tampa to Texas were offering evenings of Spanish food and wine pairing excellence. Wine lovers were treated to a tasting experience from the heart of Catalonia, with wines from the Familia Torres and regions spanning from DO Penedès to DOQ Priorat

The wine tasting dinner series came just after the Bulla team attended the San Sebastián Gastronomika culinary congress in northern Spain in October. Already in its 27th edition, this year the concept reflected origin, fire and conscious cooking, where San Sebastián has excelled once more in food for thought and the global consumer.

During the prestigious three-day event, Bulla Gastrobar’s own CEO, Carlos Centurión, received the Foods and Wines from Spain Award by ICEX. Reaffirming Bulla’s commitment to authenticity, the award aims to recognize culinary projects, people or businesses that contribute to promoting the excellence and diversity of Spanish food and drink products abroad.

Elisa Carbonell, ICEX CEO, presented the award to Carlos Centurón and the entire Centurión team. She said “Gastronomy is an important lever for the positioning of our country in international markets and, together with tourism, they drive the export of our food industry. With this award, we want to highlight the work and commitment of professionals and institutions in the promotion of Spanish cuisine and products throughout the world.”

The Wine Masterclass and Bulla Bites (Catalonia) series was the fourth and final edition of the year, with previous editions featuring DOC Rioja and DO Ribera del Duero. It’s worth keeping a look out for Bulla Gastrobar’s next wine tasting events coming up in 2026.
