About the event

The Summit includes two roundtable discussions: the Food Summit and the Wine Summit. Each discussion will build on the findings and recommendations from the Food and WIne Advisory Council meetings, reviewing Spain’s position in the U.S. market and discussion of potential strategies for the growth of its products.

The Wine Panel, moderated by Courtney Schiessl, Editor in Chief at Seven Fifty Daily, will discuss the necessary steps for producers and the industry to create a cohesive narrative for Spain’s wines—one that goes beyond emphasizing its rich viticultural resources, quality, innovation, and culture. This narrative will identify key differentiators that resonate with U.S. lifestyle trends.

The Food Panel, moderated by Matt Thomas, Co-Owner and publisher of Culture Cheese Magazine and former Senior Director at the Specialty Food Association, will bring together a group of experts to discuss and explore different ways to promote Spain's foods and beverages with an eye to increasing their presence, consumption and sales in the hospitality market, with a focus on casual dining and lodging. Key areas of discussion will include assessing Spain's current market situation, exploring its standing, and understanding the drivers behind purchasing decisions
