49 International Professionals participated in the Fruit Attraction Hosted Buyers Program.
The Fruit Attraction trade fair was held in Madrid from October 8th to the 10th. It’s the biggest event of its kind in the global fruit and vegetable industry, welcoming over 100,000 visitors and more than 2000 exhibitors from 145 countries. The fair extended across 10 pavilions and offered producers, buyers, and other industry professionals an excellent opportunity to connect, promote their businesses, and highlight the innovation, quality, and diversity the sector is known for.
As part of this year’s event, 49 international buyers have been invited by Foods and Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España, to participate in a special program. The visitors held positions such as C.E.O., managers, sales people, purchasing managers... Representing all the areas of the fruit and vegetable industry. They came from Germany, Netherlands, the UAE, Ireland, the UK, Brazil, Canada, Slovenia, Lithuania, Hong Kong, the US, Croatia, Sweden, Poland, Findland, Norway, Switzerland, Israel, Qatar, Singapore, Kazajstan, Tailand, South Africa, Vietnam and Austria. The guest countries of this edition were Saudi Arabia and China.
They had a specific agenda and during the first days of the fair they took part in Hosted Buyers B2B meetings. They were held in the Business Center and Buyers Meeting, another important point in the fair.
In addition, Fruit Attraction 2024 celebrated the World Fresh Forum, composed of webinars organized by ICEX with the participation of SEC and MAPA on markets of opportunity. This edition focused on China, Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
A major event
Fruit Attraction 2024, which celebrated in 2024 its 16th edition, was structured around four main areas:
- Fresh Area: 70% of the exhibition and represents all the fruit and vegetable sectors.
- Auxiliary Industry Area: 24% of the exhibition, with a strong increase compared to last year.
- Fresh Food Logistics Area: represents the entire industry linked to the supply chain.
- Innova Tech Area: newly created space to highlight Spain's commitment to innovation in agritech.
