Open Day Kuala Lumpur 2023 - Spanish Food & Beverage Showcase

Foods & Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España are pleased to invite your company to participate in the Open Day Kuala Lumpur 2023 -Spanish Food & Beverage Showcase, which will take place on Thursday, 23 November from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, in The Grey Box.

Designed to bring together Malaysian importers of Spanish foods, wines and other beverages, retailers and other relevant stakeholders from the food and beverage industry, this event aims at promoting and increasing the awareness of high-quality products from Spain available in Malaysia, as well as providing a meeting point between importers and distributors.

Spanish cuisine is internationally recognized for its blending of tradition and innovation. It is nourished by an old and long gastronomy tradition with Phoenician, Roman and Moorish influences, adding a wealth of products from America, from the “New World” in the XV century, and it has kept evolving towards modern Spanish gastronomy.

Imports of Spanish product in Malaysia have kept increasing in the last few years. Imports of pork meat, food preparations and canned vegetables lead the ranking, followed by unpreserved fruits and olive oil. in Spanish products at the present time.

On this occasion, the Open Day Kiala Lumpur 2023 will include a variety of activities, including a wine masterclass, conducted by one of the best sommeliers in the country, Mr. Roderick Wong, and a cooking demo by Steven Wong, Sous Chef at Hilton, who will explain how to cook of some of the Spanish products that will be exhibited by importers at the event. Two wine seminars will also take place showcasing Spain’s indigenous wine grape varieties.
