Mary Gorman-McAdam

 

Mary Gorman-McAdams is a Master of Wine, and independent wine consultant, wine judge, educator, masterclass & conference speaker with a specialist focus on sparkling wines and the wines of Bordeaux. 

 

Between 2014 and 2019 she was the North American Consultant for the Bordeaux Wine Council, where she led its strategic marketing + educational programs focused on growing the market for Bordeaux wines.  From 2019 and 2021 she was Director at International Wine Center (IWC), NYC, where she has also taught wines classes since 2002. Mary continues to teach at IWC and to consult for various wine regions including Bordeaux Wines, NY Wine, Vins de Médoc , Cru Bourgeois, Cava DO , Finger Lakes, NY etc.

 

In 2020 Mary was elected to the IMW Council and is currently serving her second elected term. Between 2012 and 2023 she served on its global education committee. Mary is a proud member of the New York Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International and has served on the Advisory Board of Women in Wine leadership Symposium and the Society of Wine Educators. 

 

As a networker, wine educator and marketer, Mary is a regular judge and speaker at TEXSOM International Wine Awards and conference. Mary is currently researching and writing a book on the White Wines of Bordeaux.

Evan is one of the nation’s most prolific food and wine industry veterans. In 1987, he became the eighth American to pass the Master Sommelier examination. The author of several critically acclaimed books on food, wine and hospitality, Evan has created wine education and service programs for Seagram Chateau & Estates, Diageo, Allied Domecq and Beam Wine Estates. He is currently President and Chief Education Officer of Full Circle Wine Solutions and Master the World.

Jeff Jenssen

 

JEFF JENSSEN is a wine, food, and travel writer, educator, television presenter, emcee, and host. He divides his time between his homes in New York City and Malaga, Spain. He is an award-winning journalist as well as best-selling and award-winning author. Jeff is one of two Wine Editors at ROBB Report covering collectable wines for their high-net-worth readers. His articles and photographs have appeared in Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Oxford University Press, TODAY, Huffington Post, The Latin Kitchen, ROBB Report, MSNBC, and Saveur.  He has been a featured guest on The TODAY Show, The Martha Stewart Show, Better TV, and the CBS, FOX, Hallmark, CNN, WPIX, WGN, and NBC networks. Jenssen is one of the authors of RED WINE (Sterling Epicure October 2017) with co-authors Mike DeSimone and Kevin Zraly, which won the Gourmand International Award for Best Wine Book in the World 2017 and BEST OF THE BEST Wine Book in the past 25 Years in 2021.  RED WINE was also honored at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and the Alfred NOBEL House in Sweden. He is a co-author of Wines Of California: The Comprehensive Guide (Sterling Epicure, October 2016) Wines Of California: Special Deluxe Edition (Sterling Epicure, October 2015) and Wines Of The Southern Hemisphere: The Complete Guide (Sterling Epicure, October 2012, Foreword by Michel Rolland), which was awarded the Gourmand International Award for Best Wine Book in the USA in 2012.  He is a co-author of the Fire Island Cookbook (Simon and Schuster, Foreword by Al Roker) and White Wine which was published by W.W. Norton in May 2023. Jeff has taught at The Culinary Institute of America, DeGustibus Cooking School, The Astor Center, The Miele Experience Center, Sherry Lehmann, CorkBuzz, The Georgetown Club, SommCon, the residence of the Spanish Ambassador to the United States, and onboard Holland America and Seabourn Cruise Lines. He has emceed the gala event at the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival has served as an international judge for the Concours Mondial de Brussels, the Concours de Chablis in Burgundy, and the Concours de Sake in Japan, as well as other US and international wine competitions. He is honored to have worked with Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten, Norman Van Aiken, Thomas Keller, and Jose Andres pairing wine with each chef’s cuisine.
