The Cava shows its origins: The new zonification rules
As part of the three-part webinar series in May and June, ICEX/Wine from Spain and the DOP Cava Control Board cordially invite you to the kick-off webinar around the latest developments in DOP Cava. With the aim of sharpening the origin of Cava, new subzones were approved by the regulatory board in 2020. Spain's best-known Master of Wine Pedro Ballesteros Torres will illustrate the geographical reorganisation of the PDO, the new categories Cava de Guarda and Cava de Guarda Superior as well as the associated quality requirements in an entertaining hour (and in English).
Developments that are noticeable in the glass: terroir-related notes and the richness of the local microclimate can be clearly tasted. Attendees will receive a samples kit and an access link to the online masterclass. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
