Dutch opinion leaders‑sommeliers, journalists, and importers—will comprise the panel of judges
The fifth edition of the Albariños Around the World competition is around the corner. The event, scheduled for November 3rd and organized by the Spanish Wine Tasters Union, aims to support and reinforce knowledge about, and the popularity of, wines as well as spirits made with Albariño grapes.
This competition will involve a large number of key opinion leaders in the Netherlands, who will participate as judges in bling tastings of all participating wines. This includes importers, sommeliers, and journalists, among others. All competing wines must be made with Albariño grapes from DO Rías Baixas or the Portuguese region of Vinho Verde. The fact that the judges are Dutch will help increase knowledge about these wines in the Netherlands.
Previous editions of the event have been held in the UK, Germany, Belgium and Sweden.
This contest aims to raise the profile of wines and spirits made with Albariño grapes
