EAT SPAIN DRINK SPAIN is supporting MANOR's promotional campaign for Spanish gourmet products, which will run from September 23rd to October 5th in the chain's 27 supermarkets. The campaign, with extensive advertising on social networks, newsletters and flyers, will be held in all 27 MANOR supermarkets, with the possibility of tastings in the chain's 10 largest MANOR supermarkets on October 5th: Genève, Chavannes, Vésenaz, Vevey, Monthey, Lausanne, Lugano, Vezia, Emmen and Basel. The campaign also includes several discounts.
During the Spanish weeks, MANOR proposes interesting paradigms of the Spanish pantry. We can start by mentioning los ibéricos, jamón, lomo, chorizo, or salchichón ibérico, one of Spain's most renowned luxuries. Its raw material, Iberian pork, lives in the dehesa, which is the name given to the forest of thousand-year-old holm oaks, cork oaks, oak, chestnut and carob trees. Spaniards usually accompany their Iberian and other tapas with special breads and cakes: picos, regañás (crunchy breadsticks) or tortas de aceite (olive oil tortas), which will also be present in MANOR's promotion.
A Spanish day is also unimaginable without good sauces, such as fried tomato sauce, used in traditional dishes as well as in the simple but delicious bread with fried tomato and ham, or brava sauce for enjoying the beloved tapa patatas bravas . And who can forget the unmistakable taste of patatas fritas while enjoying a snack at a bar in a Spanish square?
The star ingredients of paella will not be missing at MANOR: broth, rice, and pimentón (paprika). With these ingredients, preparation is simple; you can follow the steps we propose in this explanatory video. By the way, paprika is a great treasure of Spanish cuisine; its use is endless in vegetable stews, meat dishes, octopus, seafood, combined with cheeses, etc.
A Spanish shopping basket needs a cheese board, a great unknown, even though Spain is one of the countries with the greatest variety of cheeses in the world, with more than 150 varieties and 29 Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indications (PGI).
Last but not least, two great aces of Spanish gastronomy: extra virgin olive oil and Spanish wine. During the campaign you will find a wide selection of 7 extraordinary EVOOs and MANOR's Spanish wine cellar.
