I've been in the wine business for little over ten years now. I worked in wine marketing, copywrite, wholesale, retail, service industry, I wrote wine blogs and catalogues and brochures for wineries, but mostly, I worked in education. I’ve been with the WSET team since its initiation in Croatia and had hundreds of people from the business as my pupils. I held numerous workshops and masterclasses and I’m a true admirer of Spanish wines.

  • Mr. Torsten Habermann will do a presentation with the tittle:  “Ham and sausage specialties from Spain, much more than jamón and chorizo”.

He will explain the variety and diversity of the ham and sausages products from Spain, taking into account their origin, flavours, ways of cooking and their best combination with wines. 

At the end of the seminar, there will be time for questions and comments.

Torsten Habermann completed his training in Spain, e. g. at the Cámara de Comercio de Madrid and the Basque Culinary Center. As a lecturer and cortador the Consorcio Jamón Serrano Español, the ICEX or the strongest Ibérico campaign of all time (ASICI) now trust his expertise. As the first German Cortador (2012), regular appearances at KaDeWe and the Spanish Embassy in Berlin are just as much a part of his repertoire as collaboration with the Spanish star chef Mario Sandovall and the TV chef Johann Lafer. Berlin and Madrid are the starting points for his international activities.
